We dined here a few months ago for lunch and it was especially memorable. I now understand why this is one of the best restaurants in Nice. Luckily we were able to get a table on the patio and the weather was ideal. We selected an excellent Pinot that our waiter recommended along with a rich cream pasta and the fillet of sole....outstanding! Service was friendly and attentive, too. The absolute best Escargots de Bourgogne! I would have ordered another one it was so delicious, but didn't want to seem like a glutton!
I'm not sure why this restaurant has less than banner ratings - because I thought they were great! The only reason I gave them a 5 star rating was because we sat outside and I was a bit cold - other than that I would've easily given them a 5 star. My first time to France and to be honest - I was a bit intimated by the rumors about the French culture being rude. I absolutely do not find that to be the case. I went there with my daughter for a special 2 day get a way. Our waiters name was Sebastian - who was delightful, efficient and on top of his game. We started with the vegetable sampler. That in itself could've been a complete meal. Oh my gosh - the taste was suburb and the sauces enhanced all the vegetables. For dinner I had the Truffle pasta and my daughter had beef with pepper sauce. We rolled our full bodies out of the restaurant. It was terrific. You must have a reservation to dine there. We loved La Petite Mason!
Le petit Maison deserves to be recognized for their incredibly delicious food prepared with the fresh local fish, meats and vegetable. Everything on the menu that I tried is very good with rich flavors. This place was packed when we got there and the service was kinda slow but the waiter was nice and did his best. Le Petit Maison had a lovely outside area where they had a live band that played the entire night.
